The Raiders lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. There is no dressing it up: a F.
Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They will need Foster to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Getting McClellan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with edge rusher still staring back at them.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 3 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Brenden Rice at No. 77. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A reach for Javon Foster in the Round 4 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A tidy bit of business in the 150th pick, where Cam Hart graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Christian Jones in slot 190 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jaden Crumedy in Round 7, Pick 4 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
Jase McClellan slid further than he should have, and pick 234 is lovely value for the running back. It fills a real need, too.
