A mixed bag for the Patriots, and a C+ to match.

The Patriots did not so much draft Joshua Cephus as overpay for him, 27 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Landing Foster that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
