The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Steelers watched Andru Phillips slide 34 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They will need Capehart to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Barton pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, running back and other spots. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
