The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Dylan Fairchild slide 184 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
