Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bears came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

The cost of the Mahogany reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman and linebacker still on the board.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
