Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA FutureB-
Larceny in Round 4, Pick 26 lands the Packers a B, Allen and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Braelon Allen tumbling to the Packers in pick 126 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Bishop pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. They will need Greenfield to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Jackson Powers-Johnson
In the 27th overall pick they get a building block for the line. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Kris Jenkins
A reach for Kris Jenkins in the 41st pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick59 Rnd2 Christian Haynes
Christian Haynes in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick88 Rnd3 Max Melton
Max Melton slipping to slot 88 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick90 Rnd3 Jaden Hicks
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jaden Hicks in Round 3, Pick 27. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Cole Bishop adds a safety and leaves quarterback, wide receiver and other spots untouched.
Pick126 Rnd4 Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen at pick 126 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick127 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at No. 127 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick169 Rnd5 Isaiah Davis
Isaiah Davis slid further than he should have, and Round 5, Pick 33 is lovely value for the running back. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick202 Rnd6 Garret Greenfield
A conviction pick on Garret Greenfield at pick No. 202 that the board grades a round light. It fills a real need, too.
Pick219 Rnd6 Trevin Wallace
Trevin Wallace at slot 219 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jalen Sundell
Jalen Sundell in No. 245 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick255 Rnd7 Tyrice Knight
They took Tyrice Knight at par in pick 255, which is nothing to complain about. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
