Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Carter Bradley went at the Round 7 slot, a good 49 picks before the board was ready. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

However the rest shakes out, Sainristil at that price is a win they earned. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a sticky cover corner at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick41 Rnd2 Tyler Guyton
Nice patience on Tyler Guyton, who had no business lasting to the 41st pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick58 Rnd2 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson at No. 58 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick88 Rnd3 Max Melton
Max Melton slid further than he should have, and the 88th overall pick is lovely value for the cornerback. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick91 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at pick No. 91 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick126 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
No drama and no debate, Ben Sinnott went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick169 Rnd5 Myles Cole
They reached a country mile for Myles Cole at the 169th overall pick, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick202 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
Nothing to complain about; Curtis Jacobs went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick219 Rnd6 Keaton Bills
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Keaton Bills well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick245 Rnd7 Carter Bradley
Carter Bradley at the 245th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick255 Rnd7 C.J. Hanson
A reach for C.J. Hanson in slot 255; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
