The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Eagles watched Tahj Washington slide 21 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
They will answer for taking linebacker early while edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Bortolini reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Kool-Aid McKinstry at par in the 22nd pick, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Edgerrin Cooper at Round 2, Pick 18, value and slot in agreement. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They bypassed pressing needs at edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots to take Jeremiah Trotter Jr., a linebacker that was not the priority.
