Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Eagles spent pick No. 247 on Jaylen Harrell, a name most had 37 spots down the list. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
