A franchise passer in Williams headlines a A- weekend for the Commanders. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Commanders' quarterback, full stop.
The Ewers pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In the end it comes back to Caleb Williams, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
