Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cardinals spent the 163rd pick on Michael Barrett, a name the board had a full 24 spots lower.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Thomas Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
