Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Frank Gore Jr. at pick 189 is 35 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. It grades a D+, and the process earned it.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Rosemy-Jacksaint steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No edge and no loss on Xavier Worthy in the 50th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jordan Morgan at Round 2, Pick 21 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.

They reached a country mile for Jared Wiley at the 178th pick, and the board is aghast. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
