The Raiders did not so much draft Brandon Coleman as overpay for him, 65 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.
Everything downstream of Drake Maye depends on Drake Maye, and the building knows it. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
