There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Raiders started one anyway for Sam Hartman, 51 picks ahead of schedule. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Wallace.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
Jonathon Brooks at slot 44 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
By-the-book stuff, Mike Sainristil at the 77th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Matt Goncalves at the 112th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Isaiah Adams at No. 148 is the proof. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Sam Hartman well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Caedan Wallace slipping to slot 223 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Tylan Grable in Round 7, Pick 9 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
