Somebody took the Eagles to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

With interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Getting Fautanu where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
