Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bears spent pick 169 on Tanner Mordecai, a name the board had a full 160 spots lower. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

So much rides on Caleb Williams that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Mitchell.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
