The Bears left with their quarterback, and a D to match. The Bears looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Charles Turner III at No. 199 regardless, 87 picks early. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Bo Nix gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
They will answer for taking tight end early while interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots went begging. However the rest shakes out, Coleman at that price is a win they earned.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
