The Bears found their guy under center in Maye: D.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

Drake Maye gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
