The Cardinals ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Every board in the league had Wingo lower, and that gap is the story.
Bottom line, with Jordan Morgan leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 21 they get a blindside protector. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Devontez Walker in the 35th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Mekhi Wingo in pick No. 65 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
By-the-book stuff, Christian Mahogany at the Round 3 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
