The Bears robbed the room for Burton. Final grade: B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Jermaine Burton slide 97 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

They jumped the gun on Calen Bullock, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.

Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chop Robinson at the Round 2 slot is the proof. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.

Devontez Walker at pick 47 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.

Taking Jermaine Burton in slot 146 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. The roster fit checks out.

Josh Proctor in pick No. 234 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
