The 49ers got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the B-.

Nobody had Bryce Foster this high, and it is not close. The 49ers reached 44 spots to get him at the 177th pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hartman. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick63 Rnd2 Kalen King
Kalen King is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick92 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter at the 92nd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick94 Rnd3 Jalen McMillan
Nothing to complain about; Jalen McMillan went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick98 Rnd3 Matt Goncalves
No edge and no loss on Matt Goncalves in the 98th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

A straight-up fair deal on Dallin Holker at pick 131, value and slot in agreement. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
