The move everyone will second-guess came early. The 49ers reached some 61 spots for C.J. Hanson, and value like that does not grow back. The bottom line is a respectable B.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. With interior defensive lineman and quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
