A respectable, level-headed haul for the 49ers: B-.

Hard to follow the map here. The 49ers bypassed interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots to take Maason Smith at the Round 3 slot, a spot they had covered.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing Jackson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In No. 31 they get a long-term starter on the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
