The Patriots let Sanders fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Raheim Sanders, the 220th overall pick, roughly 78 picks past where he belonged.

They are betting Covington proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

The Patriots indulged a want in Stutsman while a need in edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots stayed open. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Walter Nolen and all.
