The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kitan Oladapo fell into pick 238.

So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.

A reasonable price with a little left over, JT Tuimoloau in the 36th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick37 Rnd2 Brian Thomas Jr.
Brian Thomas Jr. at pick No. 37 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick40 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kamren Kinchens at the Round 2 slot. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick67 Rnd3 Kiran Amegadjie
The board had Kiran Amegadjie higher than pick 67, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick100 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
Somehow Cooper Beebe was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 37, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick102 Rnd4 Tyler Davis
Tyler Davis in the 102nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

You do not let a safety like Beau Brade reach No. 141 and blink. They did not. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
