After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Cardinals committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Pearsall makes the weekend a net positive.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 4 they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In No. 21 they get a true top target. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No drama and no debate, Leonard Taylor III went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. It fills a real need, too.
No edge and no loss on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in Round 3, Pick 2; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Payton Wilson in the 71st overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
