The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Chris Paul Jr. slide 83 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

The Pearce Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Bottom line, with James Pearce Jr. leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
