Zinter should have been long gone. The Steelers pounced, and earned a B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Zak Zinter, the No. 94 name on the board, stolen at the Round 4 slot. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback, running back and other spots still on the board. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
