CPTTEET DRAFTING FOR THEPackers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B

FutureB-
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Wallace: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Caedan Wallace had no business being available in pick 255, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick25
Rnd1
Quinyon Mitchell
In the 25th overall pick they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick41
Rnd2
Jordan Morgan
Jordan Morgan at No. 41 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick58
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper is a better player than pick 58 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick88
Rnd3
Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy in the 88th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick91
Rnd3
Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at Round 3, Pick 28 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick126
Rnd4
Will Shipley
Steal is underselling it; Will Shipley at pick No. 126 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169
Rnd5
Sione Vaki
Sione Vaki at slot 169 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick202
Rnd6
Trente Jones
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Trente Jones at the Round 6 slot is the proof. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick219
Rnd6
Curtis Jacobs
Somehow Curtis Jacobs was still sitting there in the 219th overall pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick245
Rnd7
Josh Proctor
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Josh Proctor. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick255
Rnd7
Caedan Wallace
They barely believed it either: Caedan Wallace still on the board at the Round 7 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
