No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the 49ers.

There is reaching, and then there is Nathaniel Watson at Round 4, Pick 32. The 49ers jumped the board by 75 and dared it to prove them wrong.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Spending an early pick on cornerback with running back and quarterback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

However the rest shakes out, McCormick at that price is a win they earned. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
