Draft Grade — Bears

FutureB
The Bears kept it disciplined and banked a B. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Parker Brailsford at Round 2, Pick 32 is 62 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They banked enough surplus on Dellinger to cover a lot of smaller sins. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Abdul Carter
Abdul Carter in the 32nd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick33
Rnd2
Josh Conerly Jr.
The board had cheaper options than Josh Conerly Jr. at pick No. 33, and it noticed. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick50
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Warren at No. 50, value and slot in agreement. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick64
Rnd2
Parker Brailsford
Parker Brailsford in pick 64 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick82
Rnd3
Dontay Corleone
Value said wait; Dontay Corleone in slot 82 says they were not listening. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick133
Rnd4
Lathan Ransom
Lathan Ransom at the 133rd pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick155
Rnd5
Woody Marks
No edge and no loss on Woody Marks in the 155th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick204
Rnd6
Kyren Lacy
A big swing on Kyren Lacy at the 204th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. The roster fit checks out.
Pick227
Rnd7
Dasan McCullough
Dasan McCullough at pick 227 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick241
Rnd7
Garrett Dellinger
A quiet steal in pick No. 241: Garrett Dellinger for less than the market said. A need, and now a little less of one.
