Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB
The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B+.

The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

The Devonshire pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

Eboigbe has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In slot 1 they get the face of the franchise at fair value.
Pick14 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In the Round 1 slot they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick47 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy at Round 2, Pick 15 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick75 Rnd3 Calen Bullock
They liked Calen Bullock enough to skip the value, taking him in the 75th pick. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick107 Rnd4 Theo Johnson
The board had cheaper options than Theo Johnson at pick 107, and it noticed. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick111 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson at the 111th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick122 Rnd4 Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe at No. 122 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick239 Rnd7 M.J. Devonshire
They will replay M.J. Devonshire at pick No. 239 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
