Draft Profile: Bio
Troy Bowles from Jesuit High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Bowles joined Georgia after being heavily recruited. In 2023 as a freshman Bowles saw action in 5 games and played a total of 34 snaps at linebacker for the Bulldogs. He recorded just 3 tackles, 2 assists, while adding no stops.
As a sophomore for the Bulldogs in 2024 Bowles played in 2 games and took part in 12 snaps for the Bulldogs. He recorded no tackles, one assist, while adding no stops.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Bowles has good quickness and an excellent understanding of angles, often beating blockers to the spot.
- Intelligent player who can play "MIKE" linebacker despite his lack of size because of his instincts and ability to find the ball in traffic.
- Bowles shows good quickness off the line of scrimmage and flashes the violent hands to win around the edge.
- Has enough twitch and speed to make an impact coming off the edge as a third-down specialist.
- Handles misdirection well with quick change-of-direction ability. Comes downhill quickly against the run when Bowles has an open lane.
- Keeps feet moving after initial contact. Jumps inside as a counter to typical rush, but needs to show a larger variety of moves.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Shorter than ideal and is easily engulfed by blockers near the line of scrimmage. Minimal anchor at the point of attack and was too often knocked backward or off his feet.
- He’s very much a work in progress, with a limited repertoire of pass-rush moves and an inability to use his hands effectively.
- He’s a grab-and-drag tackler and needs to be covered up by his defensive line in order to move freely against the run; he’s cooked if Bowles runs into blockers at the second level.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
