Freiermuth is seen as a bit of Gronk-lite by many (due to his 6' 5" bulked out frame) and he heads to the NFL after an impressive college career with the Lions in which he had 92 receptions for 1,185 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Freiermuth set the program record for most receiving touchdowns by a freshman tight end in 2018, and he is tied for the most career touchdown receptions for a Penn State tight end. Freiermuth is a big target over the middle and boxes out defenders when he lines up on the outside. He's sure-handed with the frame and toughness to make contested catches.

A great route runner that can cause match-up problems for cornerbacks due to his size (especially when coupled with his athleticism) and someone who seems to enjoy his blocking assignments. He has good but not great speed to make plays down the seam and can easily picks up yards after the catch, but he's hardly a jitterbug, and not going to pull away or make many defenders miss.

He also has a good feel for working and in zones and has outstanding hands. He takes some big hits at the catch point and still manages to hold on to the ball. He has a big catch radius and his concentration is excellent

Overall, we view him as a quality prospect, who will likely be picked at the top of round two
