Scouting Report: Strengths
- Good strength to tackle. Plays with high energy and is a tough-minded overachiever.
- Great on route recognition and has click-and-close ability
- In the run game, he’s aggressive coming downhill and a sure tackler.
- Has explosive movement skills and the fluid athleticism and change-of-direction ability to come down and cover slot receivers.
- Quicker than Perry is fast but has a burst to close in zone coverage and plays physical at the line in man.
- Flashes intimidating attitude and will crush tiptoeing receivers across the middle.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Plays out of control too often, laying a lot of big hits but also missing a lot of tackles along the way. Perry also needs to do a better job reading routes when sitting back as a single-high safety.
- Has tense ankles and hips with choppy footwork when attempting to redirect and doesn't always look natural changing directions.
- Lowers his shoulder for the big hit rather than wrapping up securely.
