Draft Profile: Bio
At Texas A&M, Le'Veon Moss anchored the Aggies' ground attack, notching 674 yards and eight touchdowns through his junior season while averaging 96.3 yards per game. His standout performances included 138 yards and three scores against Missouri, 117 yards versus Arkansas, and 110 yards at Florida. In crucial situations, he demonstrated reliability with 84 yards after contact in the Florida matchup.

His sophomore campaign saw him total 484 yards and five touchdowns across nine games, including his first career 100-yard performance against Arkansas with 107 yards. He earned the Most Improved - Offensive Player award at the team's annual banquet. As a freshman, he appeared in seven games, recording his first collegiate touchdown during an 11-carry, 72-yard showing against UMass.

Coming out of Istrouma College Prep High School under coach Jeremy Gradney, Moss earned Under Armour All-American and Polynesian Bowl selections. His prep career yielded 1,754 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns, with 16 scores during his junior season. His track accomplishments include 10.84 in the 100m and 23.04 in the 200m.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Elite juice out of the backfield with instant acceleration and home run ability when he hits the second level of the defense.
  • Natural hip sink and ankle flexion through the hole, showing plus lateral agility to string multiple cuts together.
  • Thick frame with plus contact balance through the first level, consistently breaks arm tackles and falls forward.
  • Decisive one-cut runner who gets north-south quickly, showing minimal wasted movement behind the line of scrimmage.
  • Stack and shed ability against defensive backs in space, using a strong stiff arm to create separation.
  • Consistently wins in short-yardage situations, displaying powerful leg drive and forward lean through contact.
  • Exhibits quick-twitch acceleration when bouncing runs outside, with burst to beat defenders to the edge.
  • Natural feel for cutback lanes in zone schemes, showing patience to let blocks develop before hitting the hole.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Raw in pass protection with significant technical flaws, showing hesitation when identifying blitz pickups and meeting rushers.
  • Limited route tree development out of the backfield, primarily restricted to check-downs and swing routes.
  • Pad level rises when navigating traffic, diminishing natural power and creating unnecessary contact exposure.
  • Needs refinement in press-and-cut technique, occasionally committing too early to holes rather than setting up blocks.
  • Tends to bounce runs outside prematurely when initial reads are clouded, leaving yards on the field.
Scouting Report: Summary
A downhill hammer with explosive traits and three-down potential, showing natural feel in zone schemes and decisive cutting ability. The thick frame and contact balance translate immediately to early-down work, while developing technical refinements will unlock third-down capabilities.

Inside zone and power schemes maximize his decisive running style and quick-twitch burst through the hole. Pass game contributions require significant technical development, particularly in protection schemes and route-running nuance.

Best suited for an offense emphasizing downhill concepts with zone elements, allowing his natural vision and burst to create chunk plays while development continues in passing situations. Day three value with upside in a committee backfield.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
