Dominique Hampton enters the draft as a raw talent with significant upside, boasting the size and athleticism that NFL teams covet in a safety. His frame, combined with his ability to play both in the box and in deep coverage, gives him the versatility that is highly valued at the next level However, Hampton's film shows that while he can deliver bone-rattling hits and close quickly on the ball, his inconsistent technique and occasional lapses in coverage awareness raise concerns.Despite these drawbacks, Hampton's physical traits and ability to disrupt plays make him a promising project for teams willing to invest in his development. His performance in specific defensive packages and potential contributions on special teams could see him carve out a role in the NFL. For a team looking for a safety with the tools to evolve into a more polished player, Hampton offers a blend of risk and reward that could be worth a late-round pick.
