Scouting Report: Strengths
- Takes accurate angles to the ballcarrier. A strong, aggressive tackler and doesn't back down against the run.
- Has a powerful punch at the line of scrimmage and can deliver it while moving his feet. Trice also has the powerful core and hips to stick to a receiver downfield and escort him to the sideline
- Fluid mover with decent speed and his length allows him to cover effectively downfield
- Strong hands to make plays on the ball, effective blitzer who shows well-coached technique and awareness.
- He’ll line up in press at times, where Trice has a quick and powerful punch. His ball skills are good, and he plays with an extremely confident and competitive demeanor.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Despite his size, he’s not an overly physical tackler. Trice might have to add some weight at the next level in order to become more physical.
- Like a lot of collegiate corners, Trice has a tendency to get grabby, something that will have to be coached out of him.
- Inconsistent getting off of blocks. Can be a step slow to react when a quarterback comes back to his side of the field late in progression.
- Has only average long speed and body flexibility.
