- Miller has a compact build, but he is a crafty edge player who is very good against the run. He sets the edge and effectively wards off blocks with a strong core, powerful limbs, and natural leverage.
- He has violent hands and consistently breaks away and disengages from blockers. He’s instinctive, reading, reacting and locating the ball quickly, and finishing plays as an authoritative, wrap-up tackler.
- Intelligent player who can play "MIKE" linebacker despite his lack of size because of his instincts and ability to find the ball in traffic.
- He’s an instinctive and active chase-and-tackle 4-3 Will, with the speed to go sideline to sideline. He takes excellent angles. He also has an innate sense for shooting gaps as a run defender.
- Miller has an excellent feel for working off blockers and knowing how and when to counter as the play goes on.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s instinctive with the range to be a quality two-down player. Miller might stay on the field on third downs only if he’s part of a zone-heavy scheme, limiting his appeal.
- Miller has limited range as a tackler and lacks the elite straight-line speed to in pursuit.
- Lacks the fluidity and speed to turn and run with tight ends in coverage.
