Big Underdog Drake London First Wide Receiver Selected in 2022 NFL Draft

2022 NFL Draft betting reaction: Atlanta Falcons take the first wide receiver with USC's Drake London.

We have our first wide receiver selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.

USC's Drake London was selected No. 8 by the Atlanta Falcons, cashing as +220 to be the first WR picked at WynnBET Sportsbook. London was the third choice behind Garrett Wilson of Ohio State (-225) and Jameson Williams (+175) of Alabama.

London caught 88 passes last season for 1,084 yards and 7 touchdowns for the Trojans.

The Falcons need to replenish their wide receiver depth chart after Calvin Ridley was suspended indefinitely by the NFL earlier this offseason and London has tantalizing upside on the outside. He joins a wide receiver group that includes 2021 No. 4 pick Kyle Pitts, making it two straight years that Atlanta has addressed skill positions in the top 10. Pitts caught 68 passes for 1,026 yards in his rookie campaign.

Atlanta went 7-10 last season in the NFC South and traded Matt Ryan to the Indianapolis Colts and signed Marcus Mariota.
