Draft Grade — Giants
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB+
Sanders is the plan now, and the Giants grade out a A-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Nicholas Singleton got past him. The Giants do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 4. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

Shedeur Sanders gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In the end it comes back to Shedeur Sanders, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In pick 3 they get the face of the franchise. A real need, handled.
Pick33 Rnd2 Benjamin Morrison
Benjamin Morrison in the 33rd overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
Pick40 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker at the 40th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick66 Rnd3 Mykel Williams
Mykel Williams at Round 3, Pick 2 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick102 Rnd4 Gunnar Helm
Taking Gunnar Helm in pick No. 102 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick134 Rnd4 Dontay Corleone
The board fumbled Dontay Corleone all the way to pick 134, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick160 Rnd5 Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at the 160th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick218 Rnd7 Nicholas Singleton
They barely believed it either: Nicholas Singleton still on the board at the Round 7 slot. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick245 Rnd7 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson in No. 245 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick256 Rnd7 Jonah Coleman
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Jonah Coleman in slot 256, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
