FutureA
The Eagles worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Jordan Hall, 63 picks early at slot 213. No fireworks, but a solid B+.
However the rest shakes out, Moore at that price is a win they earned. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.
The veteran additions, Cooper Kupp chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick70
Rnd3
Zachariah Branch
The board fumbled Zachariah Branch all the way to the 70th overall pick, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick99
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers in the 99th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick130
Rnd4
Raylen Wilson
Nice patience on Raylen Wilson, who had no business lasting to pick 130. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick136
Rnd4
Will Lee III
They barely believed it either: Will Lee III still on the board at slot 136. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick146
Rnd5
Terry Moore
Terry Moore at No. 146 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick165
Rnd5
Earnest Greene III
Earnest Greene III at Round 5, Pick 27 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Pick169
Rnd5
Dane Key
Dane Key at pick 169 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick172
Rnd5
Rasheem Biles
Rasheem Biles at pick No. 172 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick180
Rnd6
Desmond Reid
They robbed the room for Desmond Reid here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick185
Rnd6
De'Zhaun Stribling
No edge and no loss on De'Zhaun Stribling in the Round 6 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick191
Rnd6
Jaishawn Barham
They paid sticker price for Jaishawn Barham in slot 191, and that is fine. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick192
Rnd6
Princewill Umanmielen
This one needs a full-page explanation: Princewill Umanmielen in the 192nd overall pick, miles early. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick196
Rnd6
Jordan White
A big swing on Jordan White at Round 6, Pick 20, well ahead of any board in the building. The roster fit checks out.
Pick205
Rnd6
Riley Mahlman
The board had cheaper options than Riley Mahlman at the 205th pick, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick211
Rnd6
Boubacar Traore
Boubacar Traore at Round 6, Pick 35 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick213
Rnd6
Jordan Hall
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jordan Hall. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick214
Rnd6
Jalen Thompson
A real head-scratcher, Jalen Thompson in the 214th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick220
Rnd7
Kevin Jennings
They will replay Kevin Jennings at the 220th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick227
Rnd7
Joenel Aguero
Steal is underselling it; Joenel Aguero at No. 227 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick231
Rnd7
Brett Norfleet
Somehow Brett Norfleet was still sitting there in pick 231, and they pounced on premier tight end value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick232
Rnd7
Marquis Johnson
Marquis Johnson slipping to pick No. 232 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick233
Rnd7
A'Marion Peterson
Circle this one: A'Marion Peterson at the Round 7 slot is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick235
Rnd7
Ethan Onianwa
They went early on Ethan Onianwa in slot 235, and the value did not follow. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick236
Rnd7
Aidan Chiles
Aidan Chiles in the 236th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick238
Rnd7
Jalen Catalon
A tidy bit of business in pick 238, where Jalen Catalon graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick240
Rnd7
Trey Leckner
They let Trey Leckner come to them and pounced at the Round 7 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick241
Rnd7
Jacobe Johnson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jacobe Johnson at the 241st pick is the proof. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick243
Rnd7
TJ Metcalf
Value with a capital V on TJ Metcalf in Round 7, Pick 27, a genuine coup. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick244
Rnd7
James Williams
They read the board right and James Williams was the payoff at pick No. 244. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick245
Rnd7
Akheem Mesidor
Value said wait; Akheem Mesidor in No. 245 says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick248
Rnd7
Kaleb Jackson
Kaleb Jackson at No. 248 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick250
Rnd7
Evan Tengesdahl
They talked themselves into Evan Tengesdahl at the 250th overall pick, and the board did not agree. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick254
Rnd7
Thomas Collins
Thomas Collins in slot 254 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick255
Rnd7
Kamran James
They reached into another round for Kamran James, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick256
Rnd7
Dante Moore
Dante Moore at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
