Draft Grade — Titans
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureB-
The Titans found their guy under center in Ward: B. Start where it matters. The Titans took Cam Ward to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
If Diggs pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Cam Ward
In the 1st pick they get the face of the franchise at fair value.
Pick50
Rnd2
Will Johnson
Will Johnson in slot 50 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick80
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo in No. 80 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick99
Rnd3
Tai Felton
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tai Felton. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick103
Rnd4
Tory Horton
Tory Horton in Round 4, Pick 1 is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick120
Rnd4
Oluwafemi Oladejo
Oluwafemi Oladejo in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick141
Rnd5
Emery Jones Jr.
They took Emery Jones Jr. at par in the 141st overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick154
Rnd5
Quincy Riley
Quincy Riley at pick 154 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick167
Rnd5
Damien Martinez
Nothing to complain about; Damien Martinez went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick178
Rnd6
Jaylen Reed
A premium they did not need to pay, Jaylen Reed a notch or two before his time. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick188
Rnd6
Chase Lundt
A slide stopped in the 188th overall pick, with Chase Lundt worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick189
Rnd6
Fadil Diggs
They reached into another round for Fadil Diggs, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Jamon Dumas-Johnson at the Round 7 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
