Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans drew a line under the quarterback search with Ward: B-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Titans committed. Cam Ward is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Landing Taylor that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Gray pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The linebacker hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In No. 1 they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
Pick49 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
By-the-book stuff, Jayden Higgins at Round 2, Pick 17 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick81 Rnd3 Jordan Burch
Jordan Burch at the Round 3 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick103 Rnd4 Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor at pick 103 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick120 Rnd4 Tai Felton
They barely believed it either: Tai Felton still on the board at the 120th pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick141 Rnd5 Malachi Moore
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Malachi Moore. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick167 Rnd5 Damien Martinez
Damien Martinez at slot 167 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick178 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
A straight-up fair deal on Jack Nelson at pick No. 178, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick188 Rnd6 Joshua Gray
Joshua Gray at the Round 6 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick193 Rnd6 JJ Pegues
JJ Pegues in pick 193 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
