Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Titans found their guy under center in Ward: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Titans spent their marquee pick on Cam Ward, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

That Mukuba pick is the receipt they will wave around later. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

The Webb pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In the 1st overall pick they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Mike Green
Nothing to complain about; Mike Green went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick103 Rnd4 Tory Horton
A straight-up fair deal on Tory Horton at slot 103, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick120 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
A safety of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick141 Rnd5 Kyle Williams
A quiet steal in pick 141: Kyle Williams for less than the market said. It fills a real need, too.
Pick167 Rnd5 Jalen Rivers
Jalen Rivers at Round 5, Pick 29 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick178 Rnd6 Jake Briningstool
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jake Briningstool in No. 178. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick188 Rnd6 Clay Webb
Clay Webb at the 188th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
