Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

TradesF
FutureB-
The Seahawks found their guy under center in Allar: D-. The Seahawks clearly saw something nobody else did in DJ Campbell, taking him 34 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.
Drew Allar gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Landing Sellers that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In Round 1, Pick 2 they get an enforcer at safety at fair value.
Pick3
Rnd1
Kadyn Proctor
In pick 3 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick5
Rnd1
Francis Mauigoa
In the Round 1 slot they get a building block for the line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick11
Rnd1
Anthony Hill Jr.
In pick No. 11 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick13
Rnd1
Drew Allar
In No. 13 they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
Pick26
Rnd1
LaNorris Sellers
In the 26th pick they get the arm they will build around, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick29
Rnd1
Nyck Harbor
In the 29th pick they get a go-to option on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick37
Rnd2
Antonio Williams
They took Antonio Williams at par in pick No. 37, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick43
Rnd2
Max Klare
Max Klare at slot 43 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the tight end. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick61
Rnd2
Nicholas Singleton
They paid a round early for Nicholas Singleton in No. 61, more than the board wanted. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick75
Rnd3
Harold Perkins Jr.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Harold Perkins Jr. in the Round 3 slot, miles early. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick111
Rnd4
Adepoju Adebawore
By-the-book stuff, Adepoju Adebawore at Round 4, Pick 9 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick150
Rnd5
DJ Campbell
They reached into another round for DJ Campbell, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick180
Rnd6
Brett Norfleet
Brett Norfleet at the 180th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick189
Rnd6
Alex Birchmeier
A real head-scratcher, Alex Birchmeier in Round 6, Pick 13 is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
