Draft Grade — Browns

FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Browns for Scott: B. Somebody in slot 97 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Keionte Scott, the No. 67 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The Miller reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Caleb Downs
In Round 1, Pick 6 they get a two-high chess piece at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick24
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In slot 24 they get a mismatch in the passing game. A real need, handled.
Pick57
Rnd2
Gennings Dunker
Gennings Dunker at the 57th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick76
Rnd3
Antonio Williams
Antonio Williams at pick No. 76 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick85
Rnd3
Monroe Freeling
A real head-scratcher, Monroe Freeling in the 85th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Pick89
Rnd3
Blake Miller
They reached into another round for Blake Miller, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97
Rnd3
Keionte Scott
They will replay Keionte Scott at No. 97 for years; that is how good the value is. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick103
Rnd4
Nicholas Singleton
Nicholas Singleton slipping to pick 103 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick139
Rnd5
Drew Allar
A tidy little value on Drew Allar in the 139th pick, a step better than break-even. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick144
Rnd5
Ted Hurst
Ted Hurst in Round 5, Pick 6 is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick204
Rnd6
Nolan Rucci
Nolan Rucci in pick No. 204 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick241
Rnd7
Will Kacmarek
By-the-book stuff, Will Kacmarek at the 241st overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick248
Rnd7
Jordan Hall
No drama and no debate, Jordan Hall went about where he belonged in slot 248. The roster fit checks out.
