Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB
The Seahawks let Maiava fall and pounced. Final grade: B+. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Jayden Maiava, the No. 47 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 86.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
A.J. Harris
In pick No. 29 they get a sticky cover corner. More want than need.
Pick55
Rnd2
Anthony Hill Jr.
Anthony Hill Jr. slipping to the 55th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick86
Rnd3
Jayden Maiava
A quarterback of that caliber at pick 86 is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick112
Rnd4
Jaeden Roberts
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jaeden Roberts in the 112th pick, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick121
Rnd4
Jack Endries
They read the board right and Jack Endries was the payoff at the Round 4 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick161
Rnd5
Nic Anderson
Nice patience on Nic Anderson, who had no business lasting to No. 161. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick182
Rnd6
Aamil Wagner
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Aamil Wagner in Round 6, Pick 2. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
