Draft Grade — Jaguars

The steal of the weekend belongs to the Jaguars and Harris: B. You could see the war room lean forward. Tre Harris at the 76th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 9 of the wish list covered. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Kelvin Banks Jr.
In No. 12 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
By-the-book stuff, Tyler Booker at the 36th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick70
Rnd3
Maxwell Hairston
They paid sticker price for Maxwell Hairston in the 70th pick, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick76
Rnd3
Tre Harris
Taking Tre Harris in pick 76 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick88
Rnd3
Omarr Norman-Lott
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Omarr Norman-Lott at slot 88 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
