Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders answered their biggest question with Moore. Grade: B-.

The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Dante Moore, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Moore. Every board in the league had Bowry lower, and that gap is the story.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In pick No. 1 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value.
Pick36 Rnd2 Romello Height
A premium they did not need to pay, Romello Height a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick67 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
Nothing to complain about; Deontae Lawson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick102 Rnd4 Jude Bowry
Jude Bowry in the Round 4 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick117 Rnd4 Xavier Scott
Value with a capital V on Xavier Scott in slot 117, a genuine coup. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick135 Rnd4 Terry Moore
Terry Moore slipping to the 135th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick176 Rnd5 Aaron Anderson
Aaron Anderson slid further than he should have, and pick 176 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick181 Rnd6 Xavier Nwankpa
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Xavier Nwankpa at the 181st pick is the proof. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick184 Rnd6 Eric McAlister
They read the board right and Eric McAlister was the payoff at the 184th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick219 Rnd7 Peyton Bowen
They paid sticker price for Peyton Bowen in No. 219, and that is fine. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
